ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hey, I’m Anna
I am a Makeup Artist and Wedding Hair Stylist whose passion lies in helping people feel their best, on one of the most special days of their lives.
My hair and makeup style is effortless, naturally polished, soft and glamorous - curated around your desired style, your definition of natural and using modern techniques to achieve a beautiful, elegant finish.
My favourite makeup artist, whose style I aspire to is Hung Vanngo, I adore the sophisticated finish to his work and his red carpet looks. My favourite makeup brands to use are By Terry, Dior, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, and Nars, and my favourite hair styling brands are Moroccan oil and Osis.
When I’m not painting faces or styling hair, I am usually walking my beloved dogs Reggie and Rosie through the woods. I also love weight training in the gym, spending time with my partner and friends, cooking and eating - I’m a massive foodie and I cook with love!

TRAINING
at the HEART

I started my makeup journey at Glauca Rossi school of makeup in London, (where the much loved Charlotte Tilbury started her career too). I enjoyed fantastic teaching from wonderful artists where I learned how to create makeup for high definition media and the fashion industry. While my love for bridal hair and makeup has meant I haven’t continued further down the fashion route, I have freelance fashion and TV experience; including working for Netflix/ITV, and on shoots and campaigns. I really value my time spent at Glauca Rossi as they encouraged a high standard of work from the beginning, and taught me the fundamental skills I use today including: perfect blending and sculpting techniques, enhancing makeup that looks good on camera and most importantly - how to mix makeup and create makeup to suit everyone's skin tone.

Having a passion for makeup, and wanting to be more involved in the deluxe cosmetic world, I joined the luxury retailer Space NK. This is where my love of premium products started and l had a thorough introduction to skincare - how to use active ingredients properly, how to care for certain skin types and conditions, as well as becoming the designated ‘Makeup Specialist’ in the Oxford store.
During my time at Space NK, I educated lots of customers on how to tailor makeup to themselves, which is something I continue to do with my private clients today.

Having gotten into weddings and loving the environment and the client relationships that came with, I went on to add hair to my services, first learning bridal hairstyling at the Hair and Makeup School, in the Chilterns.
Being methodical by nature, and wanting to understand the proper techniques needed to finesse certain styles, training is really important to me, and something I continue to keep up with throughout my career.
I have been lucky enough to learn and take inspiration from some really inspiring artists and have had 1-1 training with Boe from Botias Hair and Makeup, and Katya, from Katya Valentina Hair. I have also attended master classes with Charlotte Tilbury’s flagship team and the Australian artist, Isabelle De Vries.
I went on to have further hair training at the Kevin Fortune Academy in London, where I studied complete session hair with Mark Francom Painter, as well as learning how to properly care for kinks, curls, coils and afro hair types from Kevin himself. It is really important to me that everyone feels comfortable in my chair and isn’t excluded from my services. -
I have enjoyed lots of different wedding days, with many wonderful brides, and made some lovely friendships with other local, talented artists. I have catered to large parties and been a part of the most special and intimate smaller affairs, and have even been lucky enough to get two brides ready together, which was really fun. I have had the pleasure of visiting many beautiful venues, from Cotswold barns to manor houses and modern city hotels, and I love slotting into everybody's personal style of doing things.
I have been a part of some very lively, loud wedding mornings, as well as helping to keep everything super relaxing and peaceful for those wanting a quieter getting ready time. I love the buzz that comes with preparing for such a special occasion, and seeing all of the beautiful, happy, end results. I also really appreciate what amazing and kind women I have been lucky enough to meet along the way. -
My most recent training is with Skin Philosophy Training, where I will eventually qualify as a Level 5 Skin Specialist. Currently on level 3 facials, this is something new and exciting that I will be offering to brides soon.
I am really passionate about improving skin and helping everyone to understand theirs, including those with skin problems, having had sudden adult acne myself during lockdown.
Helping you to create a good canvas for your wedding day makeup is my aim, and is something we would discuss at your trial session. Something I carry with me from my space NK days is offering honest advice, showing you appropriate products that fit your needs as well as your budget.
“I was so fortunate to have Anna doing my hair and make-up for my wedding day. From our first conversations and my trial, I felt in totally safe hands”
